For your first visit, please bring your photo ID, insurance card, any referral or prescription from your doctor, and a list of current medications. If you have recent imaging (like X-rays or MRIs) related to your condition, please bring those as well. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement, and feel free to bring any questions or concerns you’d like to discuss with your therapist.

For your physical therapy sessions, we recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Athletic wear such as shorts, leggings, T-shirts, or tank tops is ideal, as it helps us assess and treat specific areas more effectively. If you’re coming in for a specific joint or muscle issue, clothing that gives easy access to that area (like shorts for knee treatment) is especially helpful.

A typical physical therapy session at Jones Physical Therapy lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your specific treatment plan and needs. Your initial evaluation may take a little longer as we conduct a thorough assessment. We’ll keep you informed of the expected time for each session, so you can plan accordingly.

At JPT, one of our primary goals is to relieve patients of their pain. The saying "No Pain, No Gain" is rarely applicable in the recovery process. However, some discomfort may arise from certain interventions or side effects, such as muscle soreness.

In rare cases, some pain may be necessary to achieve specific gains, such as improving knee range of motion after a knee replacement. If pain occurs during a treatment session, we will incorporate pain relief interventions to help manage and reduce discomfort.
